William Justus “Wil” Schaefer

Pictures by William Justus Schaefer SP4 E4 (Medic) who served in Viet Nam January 1963 to August 1964. He was a part of the 145th Combat Aviation Battalion, and 45th MED Detachment, he flew with various units including 120th, UTT and Dustoff. I do not know what camera he used, but he shot with Kodachrome 35mm slide film. I transferred these photos back in 2003 and tried to keep the order but after uploading them I’m realizing that some are mixed up. The title of the file is what was written on the side and the number I believe was the order in the slide carousel. I fondly remember my dad showing us the slides some nights when I was young, it was very impressive seeing huge color pictures projected in our house back then, with only a tiny B&W television for competition.
